About Me… I’m a single parent to four children (with twins) so I have personal experience in many areas that families can relate to. I have a Masters degree in Autism and I’ve completed training in both ADOS and ADI-R diagnostic assessments although I don’t privately diagnose. Whilst autism is my specialist area, I consider behaviour more generally, advising and supporting a variety of behaviour presentations with a focus on day to day life.
My professional background is in education with classroom based work experience in primary and secondary, mainstream and specialist education settings. By combining this experience with the knowledge from my qualifications along with my personal experience as a parent I can offer advice and support with a focus on progress to enable the best possible outcomes going forward.
I’m incredibly passionate about my work. You can find out why and read my story HERE.

For Families… As a parent myself, I know how overwhelming life can become when supporting others. Navigating the day to day behaviours is one thing, but fighting for the individual’s rights can be consuming and leave you feeling weary – particularly when you feel your voice just isn’t being heard. In fact, research suggests that 70% of parents to children with a diagnosis of ASD experience clinical levels of mental health conditions, particularly stress. It’s a statistic that I quote often because we need to acknowledge and respect those in a support role. Whether you’re starting out on your behaviour journey, midway through the process or maybe you’ve received a diagnosis and find yourself asking “Now what?” I can help.
For Professionals… All behaviour can be considered as communication and it can be tricky to interpret the complex and sometimes confusing signs and signals which can be frustrating for all concerned. Often all parties agree that the focus is on making progress, yet it can be difficult to identify how best to achieve that. As a specialist in this area, I can provide insights to behaviours and unique perspectives that can enhance understanding.
